Team morpheus is a F24 team from Hornsea school run from the DT department, it consists of 11 to 17 year olds racing and maintaining two electric cars Morpheus and Xeina.
Prepare For The Adrenaline
The Best Materials. Zero Compromise.
Morpheus is powered by two 12V car batteries.
The shell of Morpheus is made of carbon fibre, we will be changing the body work in the near future to comply with the 2019 regulations.
The drivers that drive Morpheus are the lightest members of the team to decrease weight and increase speed.
Morpheus has been wrapped yellow as it was James Moorfoots favorite colour.
In previous races we have won most resilient team as we faced and overcame many challenges that day. As well as this we recently came first in the Blyton park qualifiers.
Built By the team
Everyone in Team Morpheus has played a part in building and modifying the car, this means that the cars are 100% team made. Xeina our new addition is undergoing work being redesigned and improved.
The values of Team Morpheus
Students participating in Team Morpheus build team working skills as they have to work with other students and members of staff to complete a number of tasks from painting to electrical work.
Students will need to help lead one another with tasks which, builds their leadership skills for their future careers.
Students have to be able to solve problems under pressure such as changing wheels to locating problems and fixing them during a race.

Our sixth form team has been working very hard on building the garage for morpheus which is looking fantastic with all the new shelving and workspace, however it is still in construction so whatch this space for more updates.
